Stockholm

While walking up the street we saw people lining up for something which turned out to be Stockholm international filmfestival. It seemed a bit anonymous.

Just to clear things up - Pong was there first.

We walked up to Observatorielunden...

...and then back to Sergels torg for some people watching in the sun. Greenpeace occupied Sergels torg and we couldn't figure out why the people from Greenpeace wore red clothes.

We went across from where we sat to Kulturhuset.

The view from the 4th floor

We later met up with a friend for some lunch.

After too much carbs we walked through Old town to get to the southern parts of the city and Fotografiska, the photography museum.

After a couple of hours of admiring beautiful, complicated and eerie photo essays we walked back to the city center. On our way out of Old town we ended up in front of the royal palace together with a busload of tourists. Some from Germany, one or two Italians and what seemed like the entire population of China.

When enough is enough

I'm done with winter this year so I brought out my jeans jacket from the back of my closet last week.
I've been so busy with school the past couple of weeks and the next couple of weeks won't be much better. Countdown to summer break: 55 days

Bellissimo

Last week I decided enough was enough. No more winter! I rebelled the only way I knew of which was to bring out my converses. Nothing says spring like converses. That plan backfired and Mother Nature answered with -16 degrees and snow. Apart from almost freezing my feet off I've eaten way too much junk food for my own good but it tastes good for a reason. Right?

And the duck goes quack

I spent last Tuesday promoting my school and program to high school students together with my project group.
Yours truly.

I met Donald and Daisy Duck with their extended family on my way home from school. They're a loud bunch och duckies!
I gave my boots a much needed face lift which included some shoe polish and new shoe laces.

It's Friday today so all I'll be doing today, and the next two days, is stay in bed, watch movies and eat eat eat. I'm going to start with this bowl of popcornThe last week has been fun and busy at the same time. School is picking up with group projects, seminars to prepare for, and an individual paper that I started working on this week. My goal is to finish my paper early some time next week. It isn't due until the 26th of March but if I finish it early I get an entire week off during the Easter holidays! Anyhow, if there's anybody out there reading this I hope you have a nice weekend! :)

Capsicum Annuum

I've been down with a cold the past couple of days. The only thing that has been able to comfort me has been food. I even ate ice cream to cool down my sore throat. Treating a sore throat and self-pity, the perfect 2-in-1 solution! So what does this bell pepper have to do with my cold you might wonder. Nothing actually, I just thought it was a really big bell pepper.

You've got mail!

A good friend of mine sent me a package all the way from the Phillipines, and it arrived yesterday just as I was about to send in my exam to the professors. The timing couldn't have been better! I've been trying to eat the candy very slowly but the two boxes of Koala crackers are already gone! Anyways, to the content of the box:

I am a big fan of The Walking dead, and I told him that if a scenario like that were to take place here I'd have plenty of food to eat, a weapon to defend myself with, and an escape vehicle!

The last couple of days

The last couple of days have been really intense with two school projects due this week, but it's officially weekend now yay!

Besides spending all my time in school I've also skipped in the snow, eaten a proper breakfast for the first time in weeks, bought a new step stool, and met up with a friend.

The year of the snake

People say that how you spend the first day of the new year, is how you'll spend the rest of the year. All I've done (so far) today is lying on the couch. Oops.

I spent yesterday afternoon at my cousin's helping her with the food. We later joined the rest of my family in the evening, until my aunt came home from work. We then went to home to her, talked and ate some more.

Happy lunar new year!

A reminder that there are better times to come

After multiple snow storms over the past couple of weeks the concept of summer feels foreign to me. It's not just the warm weather that I miss but also the feeling of spontaneity, not having to dress under 4 layers of clothing, light, and colours. Colours! I just have to remind myself that there's more to the grey and cold landscape outside my window right now.

Hej

Hej! Or hi. Or hola. Or hallo. Or moi. Or salut. Or how about I stop and go back to studying instead?
